This year Aqua hosts approximately 50 exhibitors in a single event at the Aqua Warehouse in the
heart of Miami’s Wynwood gallery district during the week of the prestigious international art event
Art Basel Miami Beach. We open with a VIP Preview Brunch on Thursday morning, December 3,
and the exhibition continues through Sunday, December 6.
We’re thrilled to be featuring a dynamic new partner this year Gen Art Vanguard. Gen Art debuted
its Vanguard fair in Miami last year during Art Basel, bringing together top galleries, artists, and
individuals who are defining the New Contemporary art movements. From Pop Surrealism and New
Brow to Urban Contemporary, Gen Art Vanguard aims to advance the dialogue about these vital
emerging contemporary art movements and their cultural context within the art world. Gen Art is
throwing a big opening night bash - the Gen Art Vanguard Official Party - on Thursday evening,
December 3, (tickets are required for admission, please check our web site for details).
Other highlights this year include an outdoor wall mural by Minneapolis artist Greg Gossel courtesy
of White Walls/Shooting Gallery; plus Made in Miami showcasing work by local Miami-Dade artists
and artisans; and daily screenings in the Aqua Video Lounge of the acclaimed art documentary
Scribble.08, featuring Jeff Soto, Tim Buskip and the Clayton Brothers, courtesy of Murphy Design.
Aqua is located at 42 NE 25th St. in a renovated warehouse just a few blocks south of Midtown and
the Rubell Collection, and near other key venues such as the Margulies Collection, MOCA Goldman
and many satellite fairs. We have a breezy open-air lounge with great food & free cocktails in the
late afternoon, plus free shuttle service during regular event hours.
