It is a visionary global people project, and more than 750 artists from 63 countries are working together for an elaborate work of Performance art, making a vision become reality.

FRAGILE global performance chain journey is a visionary global people project, and more than 750 artists from 63 countries are working together for one of the most elaborate work of Performance art ever attempted, making a vision become reality:
Now one fragile object is traveling around the entire globe, carried personally from hand to hand. One artist delivers it personally to the next one, and each participant contributes with their art to the project.
To make the object travel and return safe one day to its place of departure, Florence in Italy, intact and charged.
This is not a battle against time, or a Journey around the World in 80 Days. The journey will show that it takes patience and collaboration to make a vision become real.
The initiative by Italian-German artist duo VestAndPage is supported by an international network of artists, organizations and cultural institutions.

MONTSERRAT
Ariadna has decided to bring the fragile object to Montserrat, a jagged mountain range and special place in Catalonia. She tells us about the force of the place: "It is as if the mountain would hold within itself another interior world, which connects it to other dimensions and other fantastic worlds. The formations of Montserrat are fantastic, magical and challenging, as of an otherworldly universe. I like to think of it as a door to a fantastic world, that's why I brought the fragile object there."

You're invited to follow the amazing global art initiative 'FRAGILE - global performance chain journey' in which more than 750 artists from 62 countries are participating. Can one fragile object, in times of email, chat and mobility, pass one time all around the world safely – from hand to hand, charging itself with stories and people? Will it be the same when it returns?
For the project, more than 750 artists from all over the world work together in one same action: all will carry one fragile object step by step around the planet.
The journey of the object and the works the artists will conceive during the project will be communicated on the website and in regular newsletters.
