LOOP is a dynamic platform of a sector, video art, that brings together a diverse set of agents that are related: artists, gallerists, museums, institutions, curators, distributors, collectors, schools, festivals... Loop is the sum of multiple artistic forces synergized into a common project.

" My wife and I always enjoy the time we spend at LOOP. We can't wait to attend the next edition !! We asked ourselves why is LOOP video art fair so appealing to us ? The answer is probably that LOOP meets many of our expectations as video art collectors. What kind of expectations? As we are video "afficionados" it is obvious that we need to attend a fair which is entirely dedicated to videoart and can show us thanks to the variety of the galleries all the current video art creations but moreover we need a set up which is really for video, (at home we would sit with friends on a sofa in the living room and watch videos on a monitor), and also we wish to make discoveries, and finally would like to have the opportunity to exchange views with other collectors curators , artists ,gallerists etc...

LOOP is indeed an art fair enterily focussed on video art, its set up is really designed for showing videos inasmuchas each participating gallery is a hotel guest and shows its artist's work in the bed room ,the collector can sit on the bed and watch the videos as if he were at home ! With 40 galleries coming from very different horizons LOOP offers a wide panorama on current production in video art and as far as discovery is concerned the theme this year is discovery so all the galleries will endeavour to show new artists and new works . LOOP is not only a video art fair, it is an entire city which gets involved with video art and becomes an immense video showcase and also a huge forum where all video lovers meet and talk Throughout Barcelona 140 sites will show about 200 video artists works, it will involve Museums, art spaces, shops etcc.. Public and private video collections will be shown, european video schools will make presentations, and panels Of discussion on video will take place .

This Barcelona event called the LOOP festival will also be an opportunity to discover artists andTheir video works and and also to tour the beautiful city of Barcelona and meet and interact with all other people interested in video. The ranks of video collectors have been increasing recently and we believe that this is due the progress of technology which makes viewing equipment cheaper and fitter( ie the flat screens and the projectors) , and also the improvement in the conservation of the works With the digital masters allowing migration in case of change of support and finally better protection of the rights of the collectors ( Artist certificate of authenticity) . So it is our wish that a lot more collectors are going to join the ranks of video art lovers and visit LOOPand enjoy it as we do."
