The American Cinematheque and Rhino Home Video present a Sneak Preview of the brand new, restored and re-mastered 35 mm. print of QUADROPHENIA, (1979, Vitagraph/American Cinematheque Presents... & Rhino Home Video, 115 min.), followed by a Mod Party.

Based on The Who's album, Quadrophenia is back in theatres nationwide for a limited release this Summer through the efforts of Rhino Home Video and the American Cinematheque's theatrical releasing arm, Vitagraph Films.

This release gives long-time fans the opportunity to see the film looking better than ever (this new print, was made from a cleaned-up master and restores the film to almost pristine condition, with the addition of digitally re-mastered sound) and will introduce a whole new generation to a cult classic.

To celebrate the LA PREMIERE of the re-release there will be a scooter rally from Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard to the Egyptian prior to the screening, and a Mod Party featuring a Mod Fashion display courtesy of Eskandalo!, Hollywood.

All screenings are at the newly renovated Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre at the historic Egyptian (6712 Hollywood Boulevard between Highland and Las Palmas) in Hollywood.

The Mod Party in the Egyptian courtyard following the film is included in the Special Ticket prices: $12.00 General, $10.00 Members.

Inspired by the Who's landmark concept album and featuring some of composer Pete Townsend's most ambitious music, director Franc Roddam's QUADROPHENIA is set against the backdrop of early 1960's England, where scooter-driving Mods and leather-clad Rockers clash for control of the beaches and juke joints. Phil Daniels stars as the rude boy struggling against Britain's ultra-rigid class and education system, with support from Mark Wingett and Sting (in his acting debut).
