Group show curated by Mareike Dittmer and Raphael Gygax. Hysteria, Laughter and a Sense of Seriousness. When paintings are used for breaking rules and doubt is a means to perceive the world, humour becomes a floret in the paint box. Also: Painting as a public act of aggression. Brandishing a palett knife and showing teeth. Complex and ramified in exposure and thinking, then again (as simple as bogus) in deceitful simplicity. Sometimes drifting off into the grotesque - sketching a counter world to everything true and beautiful, a strange world of the other, beyond order and borders.
