Sustainable design. This five-day series of events brings together twelve of the most important European designers on the topic of sustainability in Graz, like A4Adesign from Italy.
This five-day series of events brings together twelve of the most important European designers on the topic of sustainability in Graz. “SELECTED:“ is not only a design exhibition, but also an interactive forum, a designer meeting, and a speed dating event with Peppe Heykoop & Co. The exhibition is supposed to be a platform for both experts and people interested in design. This series of events will display the works of the twelve designer labels as well as illustrate the sustainable design approach in all of its different variants. “It’s about the material, but also the manufacturing process as well as waste prevention and waste recovery, recycling and upcycling, and also the social and fair aspects of production processes”, explain the organisers Alexa Holzer and Claudia Wiegele. “In a nutshell, it’s about the topic of sustainability in every dimension of design”.
The Highlights of SELECTED:
Designers brunch and designer meetings (May 5th), the Fast Forward - Lecture „Sustainable (Industrial) Design. The form follows the formula“ (May 5th), a workshop on traditional furniture building (May 6th to 8th) and the "Material Day" (May 7th)
