comunicato stampa

St'Art is strengthening its position and scope as the 2nd ranking contemporary art fair in France.

St'art 2005 will be held from 28th to 31st January 2005 with the public and professional preview on 27th January.

The St'Art spirit
St'Art focuses on being a contemporary art fair where discovery and rediscovery are the key themes, thereby meeting the expectations of a young, varied, European public.

Our main aim is to present a broad spectrum of major trends in contemporary art over the last fifty years, covering a variety of forms of artistic expression - painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, installations, performance and Studio Glass.

The wide-sweeping campaign launched in 2004 is being pursued this year with special targeted actions in Germany and Luxembourg.
Our website is regularly updated so that you can keep close track of the preparations underway for St'Art.
A trip for journalists will be organised on the day of the professional preview.

Quality - a sure guarantee of success
At Strasbourg Expo-Congrès, with the help of the consultative committee, we have drawn up an ethics charter outlining the main duties of the exhibitors in terms of respecting the programme scheduled, display instructions and stand management, etc. The charter is enclosed with this newsletter.

The exhibiting galleries
At this stage in the preparations for the fair, 90 exhibitors are already registered - despite harsh competition from other fairs and the depressed climate of the art market in Europe.
St'Art underlines its European and international appeal with 50% of galleries coming from abroad - including Canadian galleries for the very first time.
70 % of galleries are loyal to the fair and have renewed their participation.
26 new galleries, some of which enjoy a certain renown, will be joining us at St'Art, in a spirit of regenerating and improving the quality of the fair.
Photography will be present as an art form with a section of 6 to 8 specialised galleries enabling visitors to become familiar with this medium.

The Company Circle
A number of companies have decided to renew their participation in a section specially devoted to them. Collectors and art-lovers will therefore be able to combine business and pleasure. Gaz de Strasbourg, Crédit Mutuel, l’Electricité de Strasbourg and Sécuritas will all be present.
