Sixth International Festival of Contemporary Performing Art EXODOS 2000

The sixth Festival of Contemporary Performing Art Exodos 2000, organized by the independent production unit Exodos will take place at various venues in Ljubljana between 27 May and 4 June. It will consciously focus on the presentation of a colourful structure of stage events which was critically characterized as the quandary of the inability to distinguish among various genres, dance, theater, performance, dance-theater, multi- and intermedia arts.
It will present a mosaic of names which established themselves in the nineties outside the national context. Following its tradition, the festival will once again provide a meeting place authors and audiences, criticism and reflections on stage arts.
This year we will focus the phenomenon of the human body - presenting a variety of stage incarnations, as well as theoretacal interpretations (in dance criticism, dance dramaturgy, dance theory and praxis).
The Body as a Mind and the Mind as a body. A Body for the Mind and a Mind for the Body.
