The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2002 will host a special
programme of film screenings, architectural talks and the BBC
Poetry Proms. Gilbert & George's The Dirty Words Pictures,
1977 will also remain open for viewing until 10pm.
Made in 1977 is a series of film screenings, selected by
curator and writer Mark Nash, that were made in the same
politically and socially significant year as The Dirty Words
Pictures.
The Serpentine Gallery will host the third annual BBC Poetry
Proms. These pre-concert poetry readings, introduced by Jo
Shapcott, will feature poetry inspired by this year's Proms
themes - the Old Testament and Spain.
The Architecture Talks, organised in association with the
Architecture Foundation, feature leading architects who have
selected key buildings from the 1970s which they will discuss
with Jonathan Glancey, writer and architectural critic of The
Guardian.
