Tonight, the first concert by the Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra at the CCB, Main Auditorium, presents Mendelssohn's oratorio Elijah which, although representative of the new romantic style, is inspired in Bach and Handel's great baroque oratorios. Musical direction by Julia Jones.
