Through a sculptural intervention in the space of the museum and Silos Monastery (Burgos), Miroslaw Balka (Warsaw, 1958) examines the meaning of the symbols of power structures and ideologies and what is its contemporary physical and temporary representation. Balka, in an exercise of inversion and contradiction, questions whether the expression of these symbols is relevant today or if, on the contrary, reflects a return of the repressed.
