sintesi del comunicato stampa

For the closing weekend of Mark Fell's Coherence and Proximity and Pale Blue Dot at The Woodmill; a presentation of sound and film will be hosted within the exhibitions. The event include a new 8 channel sound performance by Joe Gilmore, 5 channel sound works by Martin Neukom and selected films. Joe Gilmore, born Luton 1968, is a multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer based in Leeds. Working primarily with sound and print media his practice deals with human perceptual mechanisms, the nature of consciousness and being. In doing so however Gilmore's greater achievement is the synthesis and uncovering of a precision-aesthetics at the outer edge of human tolerance. Martin Neukom was born in 1956. Having studied musicology, mathematics and psychology he is engaged in sound synthesis and composition with computers. He is also head of the Computer Music department at the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology ICST in Zurich. The event will be introduced by Mark Fell with bright eyes.
