First group show of the 2010/11 promotion of Le Pavillon, the laboratory of creation within the Palais de Tokyo. Alain Declercq invites residents to reread some of their pieces and to create a dialogue between their works and the unused space of the Palais de Tokyo. Playing with the different levels of the Palais de Tokyo, the residents propose a new reading of their works.
First group show of the 2010/11 promotion of Le Pavillon, the laboratory of creation within the Palais de Tokyo. Alain Declercq invites the 2010/11 residents to reread some of their pieces and to create a dialogue between their works and the unused space of the Palais de Tokyo.
Abandoned since the departure of the Cinémathèque Française in 1997 and recently rediscovered for the exhibition of Sophie Calle, these spaces of the Palais de Tokyo inspired this series of new works based on previous ones. Playing with the different levels of the Palais de Tokyo, the residents propose a new reading of their works. Ghostly projections, video glimpses, enigmatic sounds, sparkling lights,... The spirit of the place plays with the notion of time and blurs the viewers perception.
