Camden Arts Centre is pleased to present its annual winter festival In With the
New 2010, a three day artist-led, creative programme for all ages including
ceramics workshops, animations and artists’ projects to shake off Christmas and
welcome in the New Year.
Following the success of previous years, In With the New 2010 coincides with the
gallery’s upcoming exhibition Never The Same River (Possible Futures, Probable
Pasts), a group show selected by Turner Prize Winner Simon Starling (16
December 2010 – 20 February 2011).
Make It Better... is an artist-led customisation workshop in the Centre’s Drawing
Studio, where visitors are invited to modify and breathe new life into old gifts or
unwanted items, including Christmas cards, packaging and clothing. Participants
can bring along their own items or take pot luck. In the Ceramics Studio, both
adults and children will be offered a free taste of our regular ceramics courses,
including Ceramics Techniques and Experimental Ceramics. In addition, there will
be a unique opportunity to join a workshop in press moulding led by artist Katie
Cuddon who wa recentl awarded Camden Arts Centre.
