The £20,000 prize is presented in a ceremony at Tate Britain during a live television broadcast by Channel 4.
Tate has announced the four artists who have been shortlisted for the Turner Prize 2002, sponsored by Channel 4. The artists are:
* Fiona Banner
* Liam Gillick
* Keith Tyson
* Catherine Yass
Work by the shortlisted artists will be shown in an exhibition at Tate Britain from 30 October 2002 - 5 January 2003.
The winner of the £20,000 prize will be announced at Tate Britain on 8 December 2002 during a live broadcast by Channel 4.
