E au de parfum apre il 2011 della Dorothy Circus Gallery, riunendo per la prima volta in Italia, con un invito al confronto su un tema in cui memoria e sensazioni presentano un legame indissolubile, dieci degli artisti ameri- cani più promettenti del Pop Surrealism, che possono vantare precedenti esperienze espositive nelle più importanti gallerie americane del settore.

Gli artisti Mia Araujo, Tara Mc Pherson, Natalie Shau, Ana Bagayan, John Brophy, Martin Wittfooth, Matthew Pa- squarello, Benjamin Lacombe e Leila Ataya dipingeranno un universo intangibile, senza forme, apparentemente ir- reale, perché non percepito dai nostri occhi, raggiungibile soltanto attraverso un senso; un universo fragile e intenso, immateriale e persistente, che regge l’immenso edificio del ricordo sulle proprie goccioline quasi impalpabili.
Lo spruzzo del profumo, in un istante, sprigiona la voce segreta delle sensazioni, il caleidoscopio delle emozioni, gli intrighi del fascino e della seduzione; risveglia la nostra parte dormiente, spingendo in un viaggio a ritroso in cui i ricordi e le sensazioni sono un tutt’uno. L’anima, in lotta con l’oblio, riconquista i ricordi che vanno alla deriva, riesumando quelle sensazioni che riaffiorano alla superfice nella loro conturbante forza e violenza, come colui che, aprendo le ante di un armadio con vecchi abiti dismessi impregnanti di un odore antico, e affondando il viso su di essi, avrà l’impressione di aver eluso le coordinate spazio-temporali, facendo rivivere le persone amate.

Il profumo nel suo brevissimo e impalpabile istante blocca, seppur illusoriamente,il procedere impetuoso del Tempo. La Dorothy Circus Gallery invita il pubblico il cui vissuto è protagonista e interlocutore diretto in un dialogo a più voci, del mondo interpretato e raccontato dagli artisti, a lasciarsi cullare dalla sinfonia evocativa dei colori. La particolarità dell’evento Eau de Parfum è data anche da un’esclusiva esposizione di bottiglie d’epoca dalla collezione MDG.

Eau de parfum opens the 2011 Dorothy Circus Gallery, bringing together for the first time in Italy, with an invitation to confrontation on an issue where memory and emotions are inextricably linked, ten of the most promising American artists of the Pop Surrealism, which can boast previous experience in major exhibition galleries of American sector.

The artists Mia Araujo, Tara McPherson, Natalie Shau, Ana Bagayan, John Brophy, Martin Wittfooth, Matthew Pa- squarelli, Benjamin Lacombe and Leila Ataya will paint an intangible world, formless, seemingly unreal, just beacause it cannot be perceived by the eyes, but can only be reached through a sense, a universe fragile and intense, persistent and intangible, that holds up the huge edifice of memory on almost impalpable droplet.
The spray of perfume, in an instant, it releases the secret voice of feeling, the kaleidoscope of emotions, the intrigues of the charm and seduction, and awakens our sleeping side , by pushing a journey back in which memories and feelings are the same. The soul, struggling with Obivium, takes bache the drifting memories , digging up those feelings that come back on the surface in their disturbing strenght and violence, as one who, opening the doors of a closet with old clothes discarded and impregnating of an ancent smell , buried his face trough them, will have the impression that he has circumvented the time-space coordinates, to take back the loved ones and bring them alive once again. The smell in his short and untochable time stops, even if illusory, the impetuous race of Time.

Dorothy Circus Gallery invites the public in a dialogue with many voices among people whose lifes bacame main cha- racter and the world interpreted by artists, and invite them to be lulled with the evocative symphony of colors. The special event Eau de Parfum is also given by a unique display of vintage bottles from the collection of the MDG’s.
