File Under Arrhythmic Ostinatos, a new music experiment by Landon Rose. In the tradition of iconoclastic instrument builders everywhere, Landon Rose will present an evening of songs and rhythms culled from John Hartford to Harry Partch to hymnody to prosody. Landon Rose
(Boston) In the tradition of iconoclastic instrument builders
everywhere, Landon Rose will present an evening of songs and rhythms
culled from John Hartford to Harry Partch to hymnody to prosody.
Rose's concert will be the result of his sound explorations performed
during his artist-in-residency at Mobius from October 23d on. Mobius'
front gallery space will serve as his temporary workshop, where he'll
tinker away with his vast array of experimental instruments. After
his live concert on November 15th-16th, he'll continue with his
explorations through December 1st. The sounds of throbbing stovepipes
and dry ice on rebar will hit more than one auditory nerve in the
course of almost 6 weeks. Being a musician, he can't be pinned down
to regular gallery hours, but tours of his sound laboratory can be
arranged through the Mobius office. Rest assured, when Landon Rose is
IN, he's very ON. Daily pictures and sound can be viewed/heard at
http://www.hinjnoiz.com.
(Bio.) Landon Rose is a member of the Mobius Artists Group and has
