Ali Smith gives this specially commissioned talk on Tracey Emin, looking at the way text and visual art come together in her work. Smith explores the grammar, spelling and handwriting that Emin uses, as well as her dialogues - both with herself and other artists - looking at them in the context of Tracey Emin: Love is What You Want, a major survey of the artist's work at the Hayward Gallery (18 May - 29 August). Ali Smith is one the UK's leading novelists. Her work includes the novels Hotel World, which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and There but for the, published this year.
