Moon Mirror Journey. An intimate, poetic "Sufi Journey", in which actors from her feature film, 'Buster's Bedroom' also take part
"Moon Mirror Journey" is a film where the world famous artist, Rebecca Horn, remembers her most important artworks in recent decades. Most of her works shown in the film were created for specific locations. Some remained there, and some were displayed only temporarily. It presents various installations and exhibition projects: from the "Concert in Reverse", Munich (1987), and "Concert for Buchenwald" (1999), Weimar and the Ettersberg castle, to a large retrospective of Rebecca Horn at the Martin-Gropius-Bau in 2007. Rebecca Horn does not consider the film to be documentary. In her opinion, it is an intimate, poetic "Sufi Journey", in which actors from her feature film, "Buster's Bedroom" also take part. "These people are the main characters who accompany some of the stopovers in my journey," says Rebecca Horn. One of the actors, David Verrilou, died a few years ago, and in his honor, Ms Horn painted his portrait, framed it into a golden frame, and dedicated to him in her installation at the Castello di Rivoli exhibition hall. The press conference will be on September 21 at 6pm in the Pioneer Cinema Center. Rebecca Horn will attend, as will Joseph Backstein, commissioner of the 4th Moscow Biennale, and Peter Weibel, the curator of the 4th Moscow Biennale. From September 23 to October 30, the movie "Moon Mirror Journey" will be shown at the main project of the Biennale at TSUM Art Foundation at Petrovka Street 2, 5th floor.
