Between intimacy and exuberance. This exhibition-sale proposes that you follow in the footsteps of the courtesans of the Valtesse of Bigne, the boarders in 24 Parisian brothels, 12 in the French provinces and will take you as far as North Africa. Approximately 150 photographs, drawings, paintings, and rare objects, will be exhibited dealing with the interior decorations and boarders of these brothels (Maisons closes) from 1860 to 1946. Opening reception: Tuesday, October 25 2011 from 6pm to 11pm.
