Talk about their work, which explores the possibilities and limits of photographic representation
In 2006 Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin documented the traces of prisoners in the former headquarters of the Iraqi Baath Party. In 2008 they traveled as embedded journalists with a British military unit to Afghanistan, returning without a single commercial war photo. Just recently the London-based artists completed their latest project: War Primer 2, a modification of Brecht's War Primer. Within the framework of the exhibition Seeing is believing they will talk about their work, which explores the possibilities and limits of photographic representation and breaks the political power structure of war reporting.
