comunicato stampa

In the Sir Hugh Casson Room for Friends of the Royal Academy

This exhibition will present a selection from the RA Editions portfolio of contemporary, limited edition prints by Royal Academicians, graduates and associates.

Since 2009, internationally renowned artists have been invited into the RA Schools workshops to make new prints alongside some of the most promising postgraduate art students in the country. It is this uniquely stimulating environment and the bringing together of established and emerging artists within the Schools which makes the RA Editions co-publications so special. All proceeds from the sale of the co-publications will contribute directly towards the RA Schools endowment fund, allowing it to continue to flourish.

Exhibiting artists will include: Ivor Abrahams RA, Guler Ates, Derek Boshier, Eileen Cooper RA, Tracey Emin RA, Peter Freeth RA, Barton Hargreaves, Gary Hume RA, Vanessa Jackson, Phillip King RA, Simon Lawson, Mali Morris RA, Suzanne Moxhay, Humphrey Ocean RA, Chris Orr RA, Danny Rolph and Maciej Urbanek.

The RA Schools is Britain’s oldest art school, having been founded with the Royal Academy in 1768. It is remarkable for being an independent art school that enables students to develop their practice on a three year full time postgraduate fine art course, without having to pay fees.

RA Editions offers an opportunity to invest in work by both established and emerging artists and to purchase prints produced within the RA Schools.
