CineMart, the first and largest co-production market for small and medium scale film projects, takes place within the festival. The festival's Hubert Bals Fund contributes financially to film projects from developing countries.

Professionals/Facilities
All the professional and press services are concentrated in the congress centre de Doelen, located within easy walking distance from all festival venues and hotels. In 2011 the festival welcomed more than 2,500 professional guests, including 330 filmmakers, 380 journalists and 1990 producers, distributors, sales agents, buyers and programmers. The CineMart and Film Office orchestrated around 7,500 meetings and the festival sent detailed attendance lists of almost 250 press & industry screenings and viewing reports of over 500 films in the Video Library to rights holders. Tiger Film Mecenaat
The International Film Festival Rotterdam wishes to involve festival visitors and film-lovers in the finance of exceptional film projects, and has taken the initiative to set up of its own fund for this purpose: the patrons’ fund Tiger Film Mecenaat.
Education
Throughout the year and during the festival, the IFFR organizes educational activies created for a variety of backgrounds and presented by a passionate group of professionals. These include courses and special screenings for students as well as two talent development programs for international guests: the IFFR Trainee Project Young Project for Young Film Critics and the Rotterdam Lab for young producers.
Tiger Releases and online distribution
The IFFR's DVD label Tiger Releases offers a collection of IFFR selection and Hubert Bals Fund supported films. Tiger Releases are available for purchase in shops (Benelux only) and online, in the festival's webshop on the Dutch public website. Tiger Releases can also be viewed online in VOD (Benelux only) at cinemalink.tv and mubi.com.
IFFR's YouTube channel contains a selection of feature films supported by the HBF, as well as a monthly shorts programme with films that have not yet found distribution. During the festival period, the channel features a selection of the official IFFR programme.
