Open for Applications. 5th Edition. The Abraaj Capital Art Prize (ACAP), which is currently gearing up to reveal the five winning art works for ACAP 2012 in March, is now open for submissions for the fifth edition. For curators who wish to take on the role as guest curator for ACAP 2013, the application deadline is 29 February, 2012. Artists have until 31 March, 2012 to submit their proposals. The prize is given for proposals for works of art rather than completed pieces, allowing artists to realise ambitious and innovative projects. Each year five artists from the MENASA region are awarded the Abraaj Capital Art Prize, who then go on to create the works. The finished pieces are unveiled during Art Dubai each March, before becoming permanent additions to the Abraaj Capital Collection. Applications for the 5th edition of the Abraaj Capital Art Prize 2013 are now open. Please register here to begin the application process.
