Boarding Pass N.01 e 02

scatolabianca prosegue il suo progetto itinerante internazionale con due mostre alla VBM 20.10 di Berlino: Boarding Pass N° 01, bi-personale del fotografo Matteo Cremonesi e la pittrice Ilaria Del Monte e Boarding Pass N° 02, bi-personale degli installatori Alessandro Di Pietro e Serena Vestrucci. Durante il soggiorno tedesco di scatolabianca oltre alle esposizioni sono previsti due appuntamenti alla galleria VBM 20.10: scatolabianca i cacciatori di teste, nuovo progetto itinerante durante il quale il Team scatolabianca si muoverà in giro per l'Europa alla ricerca di teste pensanti saldate a mani agilissime, artisti visivi emergenti e le loro ricerche da trasportare e presentare in Italia. Martina Cavallarin - critica e curatrice, Gianni Moretti - artista, Federico Arcuri - artista e art director, Roberta Donato - PR & Foundrising, visioneranno il portfolio di artisti under 35: la revisione prevede la scelta di 4 artisti che saranno invitati ad esporre in una sede project specific di scatolabianca nel 2013.

Matteo Cremonesi

Nato a Milano nel 1986 Matteo Cremonesi è un giovane fotografo che punta il suo sguardo curioso e colto sul mondo, attratto dalle culture mediorientali e dalla letteratura, in particolare della Storia delle religioni. Questo amore, lo porta inevitabilmente in quel confine invisibile del Sapere e della Fede che travalica la logica, per entrare nella zona buia dell’esoterismo e delle culture trasversali dell’oltremondo. La sua ricerca, non a caso, è ricca di una sacralità e di un misticismo che rendono i suoi scatti densi di una profondità intellettuale che vanno oltre l’essere “solo fotografia”: sapientemente elaborata in postproduzione, diventa narrazione vera e propria,con un forte gusto pittorico. Matteo crea dei mondi onirici dal sapore gotico, in cui spesso la figura umana è solo una presenza impercettibile, inghiottita da paesaggi e atmosfere dai colori cupi,con dominanti fredde e metalliche, in cui la luce e le nubi sono parte fondamentale per dilatare il Tempo, in una sospesa dimensione di ineluttabile. Matteo Cremonesi è un viaggiatore e un narratore di storie, il suo lavoro stesso è un viaggio, nel sacro e nell’umano. Spesso nei suoi mondi, cumuli minacciosi di nuvole dalla forte carica mistica si stagliano all’orizzonte, su cieli in cui un forte controluce abbagliante suggerisce un’evidente ierofania. Dosa il nero e il bianco in forti contrasti chiarioscurali dal sapore pittorico, che denuncia il suo rapporto spostato rispetto a quello più classico o consueto con il medium fotografico. Matteo usa la fotografia per sfruttarne alcune caratteristiche e possibilità e quindi, attraverso queste, adottare un modus operandi che, per tradizione e natura, appartiene in realtà ai generi classici della rappresentazione,come la letteratura o la pittura,appunto. In questo senso, la fotografia diventa per lui un mezzo con potenzialità straordinarie per “dipingere” e raccontare le sue storie. Attualmente lavora con MC2Gallery, Milano e in Trentino Alto Adige.

Ilaria Del Monte

Nata a Taranto nel 1985 i disegni e i dipinti di Ilaria Del Monte sono delle narrazioni raccontate con mano sapiente e un’intelligenza concettuale matura e trasversale. I segni a matita su carta come le pennellate ad olio della Del Monte rappresentano mondi costruiti con un’apparente classicità mutuata dalla tradizione pittorica novecentesca, ma che si rivelano ineluttabilmente, sotto le spoglie di maniera tracciate dalla mano, organismi di congetture cerebrali che si svolgono come un tentativo di scardinare gli equilibri consolidati, giocare sull’imprevisto e l’imprevedibile, aprire una finestra mentale rivolta alla fantasia e alla speranza

La sua poetica è di matrice situazionista con una derivazione nietzschiana nel senso dato dal filosofo tedesco all’Arte che per lui assume il valore di liberazione dell'uomo dall'oppressione della razionalità permettendo all'individuo di esprimere la propria creatività (e quindi la sua irrazionalità) in un mondo che tende a distruggerla. Da qui si generano riflessioni e metafore, raffiche surreali in cui il sopra diviene il sotto, elucubrazioni oniriche costruite ad occhi aperti e nervi tesi, squarci in cui le donne camminano sugli alberi e i pavimenti non esistono più mentre la morbidezza del gesto si sprofonda nella temperatura fredda o calda della narrazione. scatolabianca continues its international moving project with two bi-personal exhibitions at the Berlin VBM 20.10 gallery: Boarding Pass No.01, exhibition of photographer Matteo Cremonesi and painter Ilaria Del Monte, and Boarding Pass No. 02, bi-personal of Alessandro Di Pietro and Serena Vestrucci, artists which use installation as main language. In addition to the exhibitions there will be also two portfolio review at VBM 20.10: during the stay in Germany in fact scatolabianca will promote its initiative scatolabianca headhunters, a new traveling project during which scatolabianca team will move around Europe in search of thinking heads welded to experienced hands, namely emerging visual artists and their research to carry and present in Italy. Martina Cavallarin - critic and curator, Gianni Moretti - artist, Federico Arcuri - artist and art director, Roberta Donato - PR & Fundrising, will examine the portfolio of artists under 35: the review includes a choice of 4 artists who will be invited to exhibit at a scatolabianca site specific project in 2013.

Matteo Cremonesi

Born in Milan in 1986 Matteo Cremonesi is a young photographer who points his skilled and curios gaze on the world, attracted by the Middle Eastern cultures and literature, in particular the history of religions. This love led him inevitably in that invisible boundary of Knowledge and Faith that transcends logic, to enter the dark area of esotericism and cross-cultural world of the beyond. His research, not surprisingly, is filled with a sacredness and a mysticism that make his photos of a dense intellectual depth that go beyond being "just picture": expertly prepared in postproduction, narrative becomes real, with a strong pictorial taste. Matteo creates dreamlike worlds of gothic flavor, in which the human figure is often only a subtle presence, swallowed by dark-colored landscapes and atmospheres, with cold and metallic dominants, in which the light and the clouds are the key to expand the time, in a suspended dimension of ineluctable. Matteo Cremonesi is a traveler and a storyteller, his work itself is a journey, in the sacred and the human. Often in his worlds can be seen on the horizon threatening heaps of clouds with a strong mystical charge, above heavens in which a strong and dazzling backlit suggests a clear holy event. He doses the black and white with strong contrasts of light and dark, pictorial style, this denounces its displaced relationship with the photographic medium, compared to the more traditional and usual. Matteo uses photography to take advantage of some features and possibilities and then, through them, take a modus operandi which, by tradition and nature, actually belongs to the classical genres of representation, such as literature or painting. In this sense, the photograph becomes for him a tool with extraordinary potential for "paint" and tell his stories. Currently working with MC2Gallery, Milan and Trentino Alto Adige.

Ilaria Del Monte

Born in Taranto in 1985. drawings and paintings by Ilaria Del Monte are stories told with a knowing hand, and conceptual understanding, mature and transversal. The pencil marks on paper as brush strokes of oil Of Del Monte represent worlds constructed with an apparently borrowed classicism from the tradition of twentieth-century painting, but which are inevitably, in the guise of a draw by hand, bodies of cerebral conjecture that take place as an attempt to undermine the established balances, playing on the unexpected and unpredictable, open a mind directed to fantasy and hope. Her poetry is of situationist matrix, with derivation from Nietzsche, in the sense given by the German philosopher to Art, which for him becomes an important value of human liberation from the oppression of rationality, allowing individuals to express their creativity (and therefore its irrationality) in a world that tends to destroy it. From here are generated ideas and metaphors, surreal bursts in which the above becomes the below, dreamlike meditations built with open eyes and nerves, tears where women walk in the trees and the floors do not exist anymore, while the softness of the gesture sinks in the cold or warm temperature of the narration.
