A special selection of photographs that Becker took besides the model-photography, giving an insight in his view on nature and landscape.
Galerie b2_ is pleased to present the second solo show of Hubert Becker in Leipzig.
His first exhibition in 2008, called »La Condition Humaine«, presented an overview
of his photowork, for which he builds models after known images and to photograph
the setup. In the upcoming exhibit Hubert Becker will show for the first time a
special selection of photographs that he took besides the model-photography, giving
an insight in his view on nature and landscape. The second space of Galerie b2_ will
host his recent photowork of models and drawings after a. o. Robert Mapplethorpe,
Ansel Adams, Paul Outerbridge und Harold Edgerton.
The work of Hubert Becker was recently shown in group shows a. o. at
Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, Sprengel Museum Hannover, Museum Ludwig Cologne, Picasso
Museum Malaga, Spain and will soon be shown at Staatlichen Kunsthalle Karlsruhe. His
is represented in numerous privat and public collections, e.g. Schürmann Collection,
Ann and Jürgen Wilde Collection and Museum Ludwig Collection, Cologne.
