Two young visual artists, Pila Rusjan (1984, Slovenia) and Nung-Hsin Hu (1981, Taiwan) present their multimedia project Bedtime Stories.
The project took shape as a result of the two artists’ joint collaboration at this year's meeting of the Traffic Jam travelling residency programme in Taipei.
Inspired by the experience of loneliness in a foreign land, they created an ambient installation of a bedroom.
The bedroom in its intimacy and comfort enables the visitor to the exhibition to choose a story that will sway him or her to sleep without a sense of solitude.
The stories are projected onto a bed and presented in various forms, from lullabies, to glimpses of the narrator’s life, stories, songs, even prayers and pantomime, as well as the mere presence of someone.
Is there anyone who has found themselves lonely before bedtime that has not wished for a bedtime story?
