comunicato stampa

For the second time the Museum of Contemporary Art presents the festival ACTS - Festival for Performative Art. ACTS 2012 will take place in an enormous factory hall at the industrial compound Musicon in Roskilde. With its 1,800 m2 the factory hall creates an impressive setting for the festival, featuring live performances at the intersection of image, sound and performing arts.

ACTS 2012 will present works by Danish and international visual-, performance- and sound artists. This year’s program presents a variety of performances from all three fields but is influenced by performances that relates to visual art. ACTS 2012 will therefore have the character of “living exhibition” with shifting performances as well as durational performances during the two days program.

The festival kicks off with the grandiose "Art Parade" from the Museum of Contemporary Art to Musicon, and the "Sound Bus" will leave from Copenhagen at noon. At arrival at Musicon ACTS will continue with various performances in the factory hall throughout the day. Lilith Performance Studio will present performances in two sections – one each day - of 4 and 3 hours. Samtalekøkkenet (Conversation Kitchen) will continuously collect material about the performances which are up for conversation in the lounge of the Laboratorium.
