Britain Creates 2012: Fashion + Art Collusion is an opportunity to acknowledge and promote the longstanding relationship between fashion and art, and a celebration of London’s role as a creative capital, a place where artists of all kinds congregate and inspire one another. The pairs were given a completely open brief to see what would emerge from the dialogue between their respective disciplines. The results encompass sculpture, video, music and photography.

The project was conceived by the BFC/Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation, a charity which aims to foster collaboration between the world of fashion and the visual arts, opera, dance, theatre and film, and has been realised in partnership with the Mayor of London. Britain Creates 2012: Fashion + Art Collusion is a part of the London 2012 Festival, a spectacular 12-week nationwide celebration bringing together leading artists from across the world with the very best from the UK to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
