Stella's recent works are wall mounted sculptures. They are made with bent, coiled and twisted tubing supported by stainless steel trusses. These elegant curvilinear forms extend up to ten feet from the wall. Some of the resulting negative spaces are filled with carbon fiber formwork.

The titles of the works, such as gegantoesan , kandampat, metjaroe, are Balinese words and phrases from the 1942 photographic essay Balinese Character by anthropologists, Gregory Bateson & Margaret Mead.
