YIA Art Fair

Bastille Design Center, Paris

For the first time during the FIAC, 25 artists represented by 25 galleries will meet in an exceptional venue in Paris for an artfair in a unique format.

25 ambitious statements that reveal an eclectic and demanding art scene
• A selection of 25 french and foreign galleries that share the same commitment with their artists and their collectors
• A unique and exceptional venue in the center of Paris in a XIXth century industrial building with a beautiful glass roof, filled with natural light
• The reunion of emerging and well-known artists
• A reduced artfair format voluntarily reduced that allows an exclusive and intimate encounter between collectors, galleries and artists
• Open spaces, with no partitions to enjoy the artwork in a unique architectural surrounding
• From October 18th until 21st 2012.

A one of a kind event, the YIA _Young International Artists has found its perfect match with the Bastille Design Center as its location. Half way between the Genie of the Bastille, the place des Vosges and the place de la République, the BDC, a former industrial building, offers to the event an environment with personality and soul.

Built on three floors, this venue benefits from a singular architecture. Its wooden floors, metallic structure and glass roof testify to its authenticity. Thus for this new edition, the 25 selected artists can show their work in a human-sized jewel box.

All of the 25 presented artists for this new edition, have been selected on their actuality, the relevance of their artwork and on the commitment of galleries that represent them. Most of them have previously held monographic exhibitions in France and abroad, in galleries or in art centers.

Through this deliberately eclectic selection, the YIA_Young International Artists wants to create the unmissable rendez-vous during the parisian art week.

Public show days (entrance fee : 20 euros)
Saturday, October 20th to Sunday, October 21st : from 10 am to 7.30 pm
