Capital of Culture 2013. A big opening. On 12 January at 1pm a contemporary art trail will open in the streets of Aix. The artworks, will be on show until 17 February. The Patrouille de France (France's airforce formation flying group) will fly over the region in a performance choreographed by Kitsou Dubois. In Marseille at 5:30pm the coast will come alive with sound and light, starting with the Grande Clameur, a tremendous wall of sound that will include fog horns, ships' sirens, church bells and lots more - so very Marseillais.
