cherrydelosreyes participates in the multi-venue exhibition Home and Away, curated by Max Presneill as part of the 5th Absolut LA International Biennial. Artists Per Hüttner (Sweden), Deirdre King (UK), and Thomas Wildner (Germany) present new work on the theme of location, migration and the nomadic practices of contemporary artists.

With the economical airfare and new horizons generated by the linking of artists and curators via email and the Internet, the contemporary art world has seen an astounding increase in joint ventures and collaborative models of practice. This has led to a rethinking of the common roles held by artistic producers, curators, critics and viewers. The artists participating in Home and Away, though different in practice, nonetheless share a world view in which art works as a free-flowing medium of global exchange. Curator Max Presneill conceived of the multi-venue exhibition Home and Away as an open-ended exploration of this theme.

Per Hüttner travels and has exhibited extensively in such cities as Los Angeles, New York, Stockholm, Vancouver, Marseille and Sydney. He has future exhibitions at Konstmuseet in Göteborg, Sweden and at Chisenhale Gallery in London.

Deirdre King lives and works in London, England where she received her BFA from Goldsmiths College. She has exhibited in Helsinki, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Brighton.

Thomas Wildner, born in Essen, Germany, currently lives and works in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His exhibition history includes Amsterdam, Berlin, Los Angeles and New York.
