Founding members Anjalika Sagar and Kodwo Eshun discuss their newest work "The Radiant"
On February 25, in conjunction with Documentary Fortnight 2013, founding Otolith Group members Anjalika Sagar and Kodwo Eshun present the U.S. premiere of their newest work, "The Radiant", which explores the historical promise of nuclear energy and the aftermath of Japan's 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Part of the Film exhibitions Documentary Fortnight 2013: MoMA's International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media. The festival (february 15 - march 4, 2013) includes an International Selection (labeled IS below) of 23 films, along with three thematic programs, that examine the relationship between contemporary art and nonfiction filmmaking, and reflect on new areas of nonfiction practice. This year's thematic programs are New Cuban Shorts. Organized by Sally Berger with the assistance of Marianne Shaneen.
