The event includes an intimate performance by Italian percussionist Enrico Malatesta, a screening of Lance Wakeling's new travelogue / video essay - Ascent to the Sky, a lecture from the Goodiepal (or Gaeoudji SYGNOK), a new installation by Mark Fell - recorded at the EMS studio, Stockholm, FM synthesis and Scottish Diss from Theo Burt, new music from woodwind traditions by Jan Hendrickse, subtle cymbal worship from Robert Lye, and an installation / performance by Richard Sides. This will all take place in and around Southwark Park, and simultaneously with the Kittler Picnic. The picnic will be an installation and food offering devised by a group of artists - including Beth Collar, Annie Davey, Alastair Frazer, Charmian Griffin, Alice Hattrick, Stuart Middleton and Angharad Williams - elaborating upon ideas by the media /technology theorist Friedrich Kittler.
