A Collection Takes Shape at the Contemporary Art Square, with 154 photographs
With the intention of building up a substantial collection of photographs, the MMFA has in the past three years acquired an impressive number of works executed since 1970 by eleven Quebec photographers thank to the special and essential collaboration of the invited curator Marcel Blouin and Diane Charbonneau, curator of photography at the MMFA. In order to give emphasis to this impressive collection, the MMFA presents free of charge the exhibition Auteur Photography in Quebec: A Collection Takes Shape at the Contemporary Art Square, with 154 photographs from Benoit Aquin, Claire Beaugrand-Champagne, Alain Chagnon, Michel Campeau, Roger Charbonneau, Serge Clement, Donigan Cumming, Clara Gutsche, Brian Merrett, Normand Rajotte and Gabor Szilasi.
