Alain Balzac
To keep things past or passing visible and to enchant the beholder, these
are the features of Saša Makarová's oil paintings. In her pictures, she
takes a look at society, with a certain benevolent irony, removing with that
one glance the veil from well-kept secrets in the relations between human
beings and placing them into an inner space where we can see things so much
more clearly.
The paintings of Nikolaus Moser are characterized by radical surfaces. By
giving a plastic design to two-dimensional pictures, the dimension of depth
in a painting achieves a correlation that we can gather with our senses. His
works focus on subjects such as nature; they idealize, play on deception and
consider themselves to be realistic.
Alain Balzac, the French artist, goes after phenomena of perception. He adds
abstract forms, intended to be elements of painting, to computer-processed
photographs. The pictures are disintegrated into dots, enlarged, given
different colors and highlighted.
