Hoka hey in a hay Oka process counting coup from the other side of
nowhere.
An exhibition of work by Greg Daniels, Bradlee LaRocque, Edward Poitras
and a few others. Multimedia works created in a process of collaboration
and site specific art action in consideration of nation and exile. In
memory of past events that have brought us to a point of reaction and
interaction on the cyber-plain counting coup on the back of a computer.
To yell hoka hey in a hay Oka process. For the purpose of the
dissemination of information in an art intervention drawing attention to
the other and those in exile: physical, imaginary and self imposed. The
last in a series of exhibitions curated by Edward Poitras examining the
Treaty Four area and its relevance to First Nation Artists in a nomadic
state of interaction and co-existence.
