Galleries
The selected works range from historical avant-garde through contemporary classics to present-day art. From 23 countries, the 164 galleries included in the General Programme and the 55 forming part of the curated programmes will show paintings, sculpture, installations, photography, video, new media, drawings and prints.

General Programme
Spanish and international galleries selected by the Organising Committee of ARCOmadrid 2014.

Curated Programmes
#FocusFinland: In partnership with Frame and Team Finland, ARCOmadrid 2014 will present a selection of 13 Finnish galleries, bringing us into contact with the country’s most important collectors, curators and critics.
Curated by Leevi Haapala (Keuruu, 1972), collections curator at the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki.
#SoloProjects: With the partnership of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), this section is more than ever a space for exploration of the work of Latin American artists. A team of four curators of international renown has selected 21 projects. #SoloProjects also serves as a space for cultural exchange between Latin America and Europe, with a professional meeting for museum directors, critics and curators.
Curated by Marcio Harum, Brazil | Magali Arriola, Mexico | Sharon Lerner, Peru | Tobias Ostrander, Mexico
#Opening: This programme widens its horizons to include 29 international galleries which have been open for less than seven years.
Alongside this section is As Tables Are Shelves, a small pop-up fair presented as an experiment to bring printed word and image into the context of an art fair. A selected group of artist book publishers from different countries are invited to participate for three days –Thrusday to Saturday– in this event as an attempt to draw a dialogue and bring together these two more alternative parts of the fair.
Curated by Manuel Segade (Spain / France) | Luiza Teixeira de Freitas (Portugal/United Kingdom)
