This second edition brings together over twenty contemporary art spaces in EC1 and WC1, a central area of London with commercial and not-for-profit galleries.
After a successful first edition London Gallery Day returns in
2014 bringing together over twenty contemporary art spaces
in EC1 and WC1. This central area of London has quietly but
steadily gathered a strong presence of commercial and
not-for-profit galleries, among them internationally
renowned dealers and young organisations that create a
dynamic environment. London Gallery Day is an excellent
occasion to explore the area and discover new spaces while
attending special events and visiting a varied range of
art projects.
On Friday 25 April galleries will extend opening times to
8 pm and previews of new exhibitions will take place at,
omobaal, Hollybush Gardens and dalla Rosa (6 – 8 pm).
On Saturday 26 the public will have the chance to visit the
spaces between 12 and 8 pm, enjoying performances, talks,
film screenings, and book launches. A map of the participant
galleries with addresses and contact details will be available
on the event’s website , together with a schedule of London
Gallery Day events – www.londongalleryday.com
