L'arte? Un viaggio immaginario

Tuyap Fair, Istanbul

Alla 24° edizione della International Istanbul Art Fair nella cornice della ”Tuyap Istanbu Fuar ve Kongre Merkezi” dal 9 al 17 Novembre 2014. Organizzato dalla Associazione Artistica del Friuli Venezia Giulia. Le opere in mostra e nel catalogo, Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori, propongono un significato spaccato dell’Arte contemporanea nazionale. L’evento presenta 45 artisti italiani, molti dei quali hanno esposto all’estero: Rosa Spina, Lorenzo Viscidi Bluer, Adriano Bolzan, Claudio Mario Feruglio-Borzani, Luciana Zabarella, Carla Galli Morandi, Gianni Maran.

Il mondo, intendendo con questo termine l’intero universo, non ha limiti, è infinito (questa la tesi fascinosa di Giordano Bruno) e il desiderio, forse meglio il compito dell’uomo è stato sempre quello di esplorarlo. In tal senso il personaggio che da sempre è stato emblema di questo viaggio reale o immaginario che sia è stato Ulisse.[…], quello fu un progetto grafico che ancora oggi è in pieno svolgimento e trova adesioni di prestigio, ma a ben rifletterci ogni operazione artistica come quella ricordata e come quella codificata nel presente volume e/o meglio ogni opera d’arte degna di questo nome, allorché rispetti i valori estetici e formali (il discorso sull’arte concettuale meriterebbe un discorso a parte), è un viaggio immaginario alla scoperta di nuovi mondi sempre inesplorati e gravidi di sorprese.

Parecchi illustri protagonisti della presente pubblicazione hanno già partecipato negli anni precedenti ad una simile iniziativa, eppure, come si potrà ben notare, l’acqua sgorgata dallo loro creatività artistica risulta del tutto nuova e sorgiva. Dacché si può constatare come l’artista in questo senso non abbia paura delle avventure riuscendo a muoversi senza timore di sconfinare poiché si sente in piena libertà. Per lui vale una sorta di trattato di Schenghen, ovvero di libera circolazione. Siccome elementi portanti dell’opera d’arte sono di volta in volta il colore, il segno, la luce, risulta possibile per ogni singola esperienza scandagliare a modo proprio questi particolari segmenti, per cui ad esempio ci si potrà cimentare in accordi cromatici ritenuti impossibili, ma che potranno suffragare la tesi che tra loro i colori caldi o freddi che siano rispetteranno sempre la regola del buon vicinato.

Quanto al segno, come non provare l’emozione di un segno talora formativo dell’immagine, ma altre volte sotto la spinta irrazionale dell’anarchia, in preda al desiderio del labirinto ove è dato imbattersi nel mitico Minotauro? E poi la luce che grandi viaggiatori in arte scoprono riflessa non solo nella realtà esterna, ma altresì nel proprio mondo interiore a seconda dei vari stati d’animo. Ed allora la gioia ad ogni nuova opera che nasce di tuffarsi e riemergere nella e dalla luce aurorale, da quella serotina o lunare, senza ovviamente tacere del contributo di grande respiro che lo splendore del meriggio può offrire in modo esaltante in talune composizioni pittoriche, grafiche o plastiche. Dunque alla domanda: “Cos’è l’arte?”, accanto alla risposta che da sempre viene data e cioè “nutrimento dello spirito”, questa volta ci piace rispondere “un viaggio immaginario”.

Art? An imaginary journey
The world, and with this expression I mean the whole universe, has no limits, it is endless (this is Giordano Bruno’s fascinating theory) and the desire, or better the task of mankind has always been to explore it. In this sense, the character who has always been the emblem of this journey, real or fictional, is Ulysses. […] This graphic project, which is still working today, finds new prestigious subscriptions, however every artistic operation like the one already mentioned and the one codified in this volume, or better, every work of art, if it respects the aesthetic and formal values, is an imaginary journey discovering new uncharted worlds carrying surprises. Several prominent protagonists of this publication have already taken part in a similar project during the previous years, yet, as you will see, the water gushed from their creativity appears entirely new and lively. You can notice how the artist, in this sense, is not afraid of adventures, being able to move without fear of transgressing, because he feels free to do so.

For him it is a sort of Schengen Agreement, or freedom of movement. Since the fundamentals of the artwork are, from time to time, color, graphic sign and light, it is possible for every single experience to fathom, in its own way, these special segments, whereby you can try chromatic chords believed impossible, but they will support the theory which sees warm and cool colors together, honoring the rule of “good neighbourliness”. As to graphic sign, how not to feel the emotion of a brush stroke which sometimes forms an image, but other times, under the irrational boost of anarchy, it wishes for the labyrinth where it can run into the mythical Minotaur. And then there is the light that the great art travelers discover reflected not only in the external reality, but in their inner world depending on the various moods. In that case, there is the joy of a new work of art, which comes into being, dives and resurfaces in and from auroral light, from twilight or moonlight, without concealing the great contribution which the splendor of noon can offer in several pictorial, graphic and sculptural compositions. Therefore, to the question “What is art?”, I would like to reply with “an imaginary journey, next to the common answer “nourishment for the soul”.
