A solo exhibition of new works by Mark Sheinkman. For over a decade, Sheinkman has reinvigorated the traditionalmaterial of graphite and redefined the possibilities forabstraction. In a new body of black and white works on paper andinvas, Sheinkman continues to reference photography and cinema while remaining true to the classic procedure of drawing. His visualvocabulary has broadened to include rhythmic loops, weaves, andtangles, meticulously smudged and erased, in and out of focus, withinfinite gradations of light and dark.
