Some[w]Here Now is a series of get-together events for residents taking place on the estates of Patmore, Savona and Carey Gardens in Nine Elms that come out of the drawing shed's project.
As part of Wansworth Fringe 2015, join residents at Patmore, Carey Gardens and Savona estate for a a public procession of some very odd and unstable mobile art structures (including the Kitchen Sink!). Starting at Carey Gardens Estate, Thessaly Road Shops SW8, these mobile structures have been created in public workshops over the course of the project Some[w]Here.
Some[w]Here Now is a series of get-together events for residents taking place on the estates of Patmore, Savona and Carey Gardens in Nine Elms that come out of the drawing shed's project Some[w]Here, funded by Wandsworth Council and Arts Council England. The Some[w]Here project - in which artists, makers, and live performance artists have been busy on the estates since September 2014 - is an exploration of how our imagination migrates with us across time, communities and continents feeding into an inter-generational, challenging, creative and critical community dialogue, a sideways glance at the changing area of Nine Elms.
Alongside this event, there will also be a series of workshops for residents, including:
Tuesday 5th May - an afternoon tea at Carey Gardens sheltered housing scheme for invited residents only
Friday 15th May - a dinner with film screenings across the three estates - invited Wandsworth residents only.
Some[w]Here Now culminates in a full day artist-led PUBLIC Symposium at Pump House Gallery on Tuesday 9th June 2015, focused around the drawing shed's mobile SoapBox.
