Moving concert
In conjunction with Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henryk Ross, this moving concert presents songs that would have been known and sung by the Jews living in the Ghetto. Vocalists from HaKol Ha'Ivri present Yiddish and Polish songs with Holocaust commentary for a very meaningful and musical afternoon. HaKol Ha'Ivri features award-winning Canadian soloists who combine classical genres and jewish tradition. Songs from the Lodz Ghetto features mezzo-soprano Christina Stelmacovich (Tafelmusik Baroque Choir, winner of International Brahms Competition) and tenor Robert Kinar (Tafelmusic Baroque Choir, Toronto area soloist). Sunday, May 17, 2015, 2 - 3pm, Walker Court, Art Gallery of Ontario, Included with admission.
