Angélica Liddell : Via Lucis
The poem-lecture, composed by this year's Foreign Affairs festival's artist-in-focus Angélica Liddell, is presented by Altea Garrido and Irm Hermann in the Spanish original as well as in a German translation. The performance cycles through spherical abysses and exulting flights of fancy, which demonstrate Liddell's prowess as a poet, utopian and exceptional dramatist, and contextualize the creative process of her performances.

Angélica Liddell : Lesiones incompatibles con la vida
In this early piece, Angélica Liddell invokes voluntary childlessness as a weapon of rebellion against misogynistic and patriarchal society, which recognizes only three feminine types: virgins, mothers, or whores. Her own, non-childbearing body thus becomes a material for revolt. The entire evening rests solely on her: as author, director, and sole performer, she presents her accusing, personal protest poem.
Since 2013, KW Institute for Contemporary Art and Foreign Affairs have cooperated on projects at the crossroads between exhibiting and performing. This year's focus is on various conceptions of time in the arts.
