The International Fair for Contemporary Art opens the autumn art season already in mid September this year. Now for the second year, it will be held in its ideal setting, the elegant daylight halls 18-20 of Berlin's Exhibition Grounds, providing art lovers, curators, artists, collectors and critics from around the globe with a captivating overview of new tendencies in the current art production.
About 120 galleries and art editions from 17 European countries, the USA, Israel, and Australia will show a high-quality selection of new work by their represented artists. More than 80 percent of the participants are repeatedly taking part in ART FORUM BERLIN and as always, half of the galleries come from abroad. With its concise selection of galleries, the ninth ART FORUM BERLIN promises to be a particularly fascinating new edition.
New at this year's ART FORUM BERLIN: The special exhibition project "Made in Berlin" . Curated by the former director of Hamburg's Deichtorhallen, Zdenek Felix, the group show will present 42 artists in a 1,100 square meters specially designed exhibition hall, directly adjacent to the galleries parcours. Independent of their nationality and the media they work in, these artists stand for diversity and impact of the contemporary art scene in Berlin. After "Made in Berlin" , the scenes of other art metropolises will be presented in later years.
