Political Advertisement

Netherlands Media Art Institute, Amsterdam

Antonio Muntadas and Marshall Reese collect since 1984 clips, promo's and advertisements for the president candidates which are broadcasted during the American election. The archive runs back to 1954, when the first adds were broadcasted and will be expanded with the latest messages from 2004. Without adaptations Muntadas and Reese select the clips, place then in a certain order, so they react on each other without any comments.
