You are invited to the launch party of the third Centre of Attention Art Prize, this Friday 26 November 2004, 6 pm at pearlfisher gallery, 50 Brook Green, London W6 7BJ (tube station: Hammersmith).

Curated by the Centre of Attention, this multi-dimensional show can be seen in a number of lights; as an art prize, a group show, an installation, a spectator participation performance, a celebration of democracy and idealism and a critique of democracy and idealism.
Uniquely the Art Prize of one Euro goes to the artist who receives the most votes from the visiting and viewing public, recognising that artists compete against one another for resources, for prestige and for attention.

The artists shortlisted for the third Centre of Attention Art Prize (2004) are:

AL + AL
Chris Aldgate and Lee Johnson
Isobel Brown
Helena Kvarnström
Thomson and Craighead

We would like to thank pearlfisher gallery for hosting and making this exhibition possible.

The pearlfisher gallery is a new West London gallery located within the company's London Studio in Brook Green. As a future focussed design agency, pearlfisher is committed to - and excited by - creativity of all kinds, and has accordingly given this space over as a platform emerging artists and designers. Over the forthcoming months, this large, bright, white space curated by cultural insight manager Simon O'Connell, will be home to a variety of exhibitions ranging from painting, to applied arts, through sculpture and installation art.

The gallery is open to the public between 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday and by appointment on Saturdays. Entrance is free. For more information contact Simon on 020 7603 8666
