An eclectic drawing show by 22 artists. The exhibition will be comprised of mixed media works seeking the possibility of the drawing. Challenging an already existed definition of drawing as 'works on paper/ image made using a pencil or chalk', artists in the exhibition offer diverse ideas and visions of the contemporary drawings. Curated by Tomoko Ashikawa

AG Gallery is pleased to present "Look Closerノ-an eclectic drawing show by 22 artists-". The exhibition will be comprised of mixed media works seeking the possibility of the "drawing". Challenging an already existed definition of drawing as "works on paper/ image made using a pencil or chalk", artists in the exhibition offer diverse ideas and visions of the contemporary drawings.
"Drawing" is often taken as just the process of making a final piece. It is the sketch of what the artist is going to make or the study of what the idea is. Meanwhile, there is an intimate moment for the artist to express their vision freely in drawings. When the process becomes the final piece, it could elevate its process itself to a different category. In this exhibition, each artist will present his/her own unique vision of "drawing" without categorizing it to one media.
