This exhibition drawn from the IMMA Collection spans the period from 1940 onwards, with works by Jack B. Yeats, Louis le Brocquy, Patrick Scott, Robert Ballagh, Cecil King, James McKenna and Hilary Heron. While the majority of work in the exhibition is Irish, works by international artists such as Valerio Adami, Josef Albers, Gilbert & George, James Turrell and Janine Antoni are also shown.
The IMMA Collection
This exhibition drawn from the IMMA Collection spans the period from 1940 onwards, with works by Jack B. Yeats, Louis le Brocquy, Patrick Scott, Robert Ballagh, Cecil King, James McKenna and Hilary Heron. While the majority of work in the exhibition is Irish, works by international artists such as Valerio Adami, Josef Albers, Gilbert & George, James Turrell and Janine Antoni are also shown. The exhibition includes some exciting new additions to the Collection such as works by Michael Craig Martin, Vik Muniz and Juan Uslé, and recent Heritage gifts of work by Hughie O’ Donoghue and Sean Scully.
Eye of the Storm has been co-selected from the IMMA Collection by IMMA’s Director Enrique Juncosa and Marguerite O’Molloy, Assistant Curator: Collection.
A publication on the IMMA Collection will be launched this summer. With essays by Catherine Marshall, Senior Curator: Collection and Enrique Juncosa, Director, the publication will cover a range of some 180 works.
